Public hearing on ordinance on changes to the Downtown Master Plan

The Richmond Downtown Plan was adopted on October 13, 2008. Following its adoption, an ordinance (PDF) was introduced that would direct the City Planning Commission to consider amendments to the Plan. Richmond City Council will hold a public hearing on this ordinance on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 6:00pm in City Council Chambers (2nd floor, City Hall).
The ordinance would direct the Planning Commission to consider amendments to the Plan, including those related to:
Viewsheds
Street and alley closings
Waterfront access
Development standards for the former Tarmac property (also known as “Echo Harbor”)
J. Sargeant Reynolds C.C. Downtown Campus
Stormwater management
Downtown infrastructure
Main Street Station
State-owned property (Capitol Square Complex)
