Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with an abandoned property attached to my future home?
Going to a CAPS meeting might be informative. If the house is in real bad shape, having contact at CAPS could go some way towards ensuring that the house stays boarded up and maintained.
You can look up the address on the city site and find out who/where the owner is. If you are then super lucky, they might still be alive and/or respond to you.
