Sector 111 report for June
Lieutenant Laino’s Sector 111 report for June (PDF) is available. Sector 111 encompasses Church Hill, Chimborazo, Church Hill North, Fulton, Oakwood, and Union Hill (map).
While the main issues of the area are somewhat prosaic…
During the month of June there were two main crime trends, theft from motor vehicles and all other larceny. In looking at these crimes, a majority of them could have been prevented / avoided with simple crime prevention techniques. As far as the thefts related to motor vehicles please make sure your vehicle is secure and there are no items left within the interior of the vehicle. Also the theft of items from the front and rear yards of residence, if you choose to leave lawn mowers, bikes and large tools outside, please secure with a chain and lock to a permanent structure on your property.
…the report also includes detail on two higher profile events from June:
6/01 – Pink and Venable Sts – 7:23pm – the male victim was shot by an unknown male in the upper thigh as he walked home. Detectives are still investigating the incident.
6/28 – 400 block of N 32nd St – 6:15am – a known male came to visit a roommate of the victim. While the known suspect was inside the residence he fought with the victim, stabbing him in the stomach, and leaving with some of his items. The suspect, Jamal L. Clemons, currently has outstanding warrants on file for the incident.
TAGGED: Chimborazo, Church Hill North, crime, Fulton, Jamal Clemons, Oakwood, Sector 111, St.John's District, Union Hill
Nothing about my slashed tires on 7/5 in the latest report. Don’t piss off your neighbors when they hold loud parties and shoot off fireworks in the middle of the street, throw trash all over the street and invite low-life strangers to their house 24/7. I’m out of here as soon as I can. As you consider how to get rid of slum landlords, consider how to get rid of slum tenants. Anyone who slashes tires could easily slash you or me or our pets or children.
Molly, your incident will most likely show up in the July report. This report just covers the month of June.
Hope you find a better block in the hill, it’s not all bad, just depends on your neighbors.
