Shooting on Mosby Street (UPDATED)
07/14/2009 7:22 PM by John M
As as-yet-unidentified 36-year-old man is in critical condition at MCV after being shot in the chest just before 6PM on the 1000 block of Mosby Street. Police hypothosize it was a retaliation shooting, but do not have much more to say at this point.
The shooting victim was walking on the sidewalk on the west side of the street, the same side as Martin Luther King Jr Middle School. Police taped off the 900 and 1000 blocks of Mosby Street and appeared to be examining the school building and grounds.
Richmond Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting last night on Mosby Street.
The USMS Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force – Richmond arrested Davon L. Bolden, 18, of the 3600 block of Millers Glen Road, at 3:30 this morning.
He has been charged with malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and shooting from an occupied vehicle.
First, Firing from a moving vehicle. Second, shooting “recklessly” near a school. And FINALLY, Third, a CONVICTED FELON using a firearm.Well done Task Force ! Mr. Bolden, It seems as a legal adult, you’ve chosen the path of violence and disrespect for human life. Hope you learn the value of it while trying to preserve your own among those you’ll soon share your days and nights with. “The streets won’t miss ya…” P-E-A-C-E, PEOPLE !
Looks like another Henrico County citizen coming to the City to commit a crime.
Seems like you’d have to work at it to be a convicted felon by the age of 18…
Well it makes you wonder what he did before he was 18. That behavior didn’t start when he turned 18.
Doesn’t look like he convicted of his felony in Virginia. Seems like he is a transplant. I wonder if those tatoos on his arms are gang related.
It looks like those tattoos spell “Hard Head” on his arms. That would be an understatement.
Is it really poverty that is turning our children into monsters like this with no consideration for others’ lives? I don’t buy it.
this is my cousin and i pray for him every night before i go to sleep
