The Ghosts of Chimborazo
Elizabeth Bissette will be hosting a Ghost Hunting workshop at Chimborazo Park this Friday, August 7 from 6-8PM:
The Ghost Hunting workshops are back and this time we’re going to visit Chimborazo, possibly the most ill-fated site in Richmond.
Here Native Americans aligned forces with Colonists against the Brittish and were slaughtered in what became known as the Bloody Run Massacre. A century later, the site was used for the largest tent-hospital in the Civil War. The Church Hill Tunnel, which we visited last time, runs through the hill as well.
We’ll meet at the Aquarian [The Aquarian Bookstore in Carytown Shopping Center] to discuss the history of the site and then go to Chimbarazo for ghost hunting! Hopefully we’ll be joined again by members of the Richmond Paranormal Society and they’ll bring their cool ghost detecting equipment.
Definitely bring your camera!
So, will Shaggy, Scooby, and the gand from Mysteries Incorporated be there to capture the ghosts that have been eating Old Man Johnsons prize tomatoes?
So if we live here on the Hill, how do we get all the info that will be discussed at the Aquarian without going all the way down to Carytown, (only to turn around and come back home to where we live for the walking tour)?
Is there away around that back and forth trip?
Is there a cost associated with this walking tour? I consider myself to be an incarnation of Velma.
hehe Amy / Velma. I’d really (really) like to join y’all on this but have a prior commitment… I’m hoping you’ll do it again soon!
Please tell me these would be ghost hunters will be riding segways too. That would make this a perfect event for ridicule
Elizabeth – don’t mind Gordie… please just keep us posted if you do an event like this again.
