08/04/2009 5:42 AM by John M
Church Hill Cleaners celebrates their grand reopening on Saturday August 15 from noon to 4PM with free hot dogs, chips, and cold drinks (just over 4 years after a fire closed’em down in 2005). From the flyer:
A Church Hill family tradition is back to serve your cleaning needs. Established in 1930 with over 75 years of superior dry cleaning experience!
They soft opened a few days back, so don’t feel like you’ve got to wait if you’ve got dry cleaning to be done.

GM, My business name is Direct To You. We are an alterations business located on the Southside of Richmond. My late husband Arthur Lewis was a tailor for over 30 years and we were customers with Church Hill Cleaners for over 5 years, after moving here from NYC early 90’s. Whenever we would take in alteration customers, we would always send them to the East End, Church Hill Cleaners. Years later, I am still running the business the wife to Mr. Lewis, Ms. Georgie Lewis and still doing business with that same neighborhood business. Very professional and concerned staff with reasonable prices. Please support local businesses and jobs in the area.
