CAR Task Force meets Thursday
08/31/2009 5:10 PM by John M
The first meeting of City Council’s Task Force on the Commission of Architectural Review (CAR) is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2009, from 4-6PM, in the auditorium of the Richmond Fire Department Headquarters at 201 East Franklin Street. Subsequent meetings of the Task Force are planned at the same location on the first Thursday of each month through February 2010.
This is a public meeting and the Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods ACORN sent out an alert today reminding us that citizen input will be an important part of this meeting and can have a direct impact on the results of the task force.
For folks who have an interest Union Hill and it’s proposed status as a City Old & Historic District, this would be a good meeting to attend.
This is particularly relevant for those of us who have specific concerns about the current CAR Guidelines and/or the procedures that property owners go through when working with CAR or City Staff in the Dept. of Historic Preservation.
