Grace St.) to repaint our fading US Map, create Reading Corners, label books, lay mulch, plant flowers and help beautify the front of the school. Rocketts Landing Run to the River

Run to the River is a challenging 10k hill race, 5k community walk and 1k fun run to benefit the Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC). Runners will tackle three hills as they dash over cobblestone streets, through historic neighborhoods, and along the banks of the James River. Enjoy live music, refreshments, a free massage or a health check at the finish line party and health fair. Run to the River is one of the most difficult and scenic races in Richmond–and one of the most rewarding. All event proceeds directly support the NRC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing quality resources to families with limited means in the Greater Fulton community of Richmond, VA. Richmond’s Unhealed History

Richmond Hill presents “Richmond’s Unhealed History,” 1607-2009, nine lectures on the history of Richmond, on Tuesday nights from September 22 to November 17 at 7:30 p.m. The lectures are by the Rev. Ben Campbell, Pastoral Director of Richmond Hill. Requested donation for the series is $90. Those attending are encouraged to join the Richmond Hill Community for prayers at 6 p.m. And supper at 6:30 p.m. An additional $45 will reserve a place at supper. History Hounds explore Church Hill

Dogs are invited to join their owners for this of Church Hill, in partnership with the SPCA. Dogs must have current shots, mix well with others and remain on a leash. Owners are responsible for water and cleaning up after their dogs. The SPCA will provide bags.
