So the view is not just of the bend in the river? Amazing… no one believed me.
Views as this normally align themselves with the human eye-sight of about 120 degrees to the front.
Oops but not for Echo Harbour. They only want to give you a narrow 50 degree vista of the river and the remaining 70 degrees will be the back of their very tall building, (full of self-indulgent condo owners and deep-pockets business executives).
Yup, thats what we have to look forward to … get it?
Re #2, would it matter to you if the potential residents were of modest or less-than-modest means, say Section 8 tenants? Just curious if an affordable development would be more welcomed than condos.
how about this NO FUCKING DEVELOPMENT we were glad to have our wedding at this location before the view was forever ruined to fill the pockets of the already filthy rich.
um, could you tone down the language please? I think you can get your point across without being crude.
It sounds to me that you want buildings to go there
I was merely commenting on your reference to they type of people that are apparently going to live there. I thought it would make a difference to you, since you called it out. Apparently, it doesn’t matter to you.
I have no stake in or opinion on the matter. I simply have not studied it enough. In time, I’m sure I’ll form an opinion, but only after studying the topic, and I haven’t had time to do that.
But that’s not the point here. The point is that resorting to rude and crude language is not the best way to convince someone of your point of view. Some semblance of eloquence typically works a lot better.
Juliellen – the two comments were by two different people. “Mr. Obvious” made the original comment about the “self-indulgent condo owners and deep-pockets business executives”, while “observant neighbor” called for “NO FUCKING DEVELOPMENT”.
How about a semblance of pomposity? Does that help?
Was that the wedding that left all the trash by the fountain the neighbors ending up picking up? Seems there were 2-3 weddings over the last year that enjoyed the park and then left it up to someone else to take care of the mess.
Jennifer C., thanks for your sense of humor!!!
