Keys, camera found in Libby Hill Park
02/15/2010 8:24 PM by John M
A camera was found on Libby Hill today. Drop a line to Leigh if you can describe it or know the couple in the photo above… A set of keys was also recently found in the park:
There are over 10 keys on a silver carabiner. If someone has lost their keys and can describe them to me, they can call Elliott at (804) 787-3336.
I saw a notice in Libby Hill park on the 7th about loosing a silver carabiner with keys. I did not take note of the phone number.
This was posted during one of the last snow storms. Do they belong to this person?
lost my keys today somewhere in the snow in Libby Hill Park. They are probably somewhere in the triangular field between Franklin, Mongo’s, and 29th Street. If the keys are found, I can be contacted at (804)787-3336. There is a green carabiner on the key chain.
The person that lost those keys found their keys & is actually the person that found the keys above, too.
What’s with the caption?
Are those lions standing at the base of a column or something in the picture? There are four that I can see. Must be a really big monument or whatever it is that the couple is posed in front of…
I know these folks — pmail sent
Matter of fact, what and where is that monument?! It doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen in Richmond, including Hollywood Cemetery….not that I don’t want the owner of both camera and keys to be found, but I seem to have fixated on the monument or whatever it is, and want to know more!
#7 crd, its the monument to General Oglethorpe in Chippewa Square in Savannah, Georgia. First clue was the spanish moss hanging from the trees in the background.
CRD- from the live oak trees and the Spanish moss, I’d say it’s either Charleston or Savannah.
The tree over their right shoulder appears to have spanish moss hanging from it. That puts this monument in SC or GA.
She could do way better.
Thanks all of you for the identification of the monument! I was really hung up on it, now just want to go to Savannah for a weekend, esp. if I could be guaranteed that no freak snowstorm would hit the deep south!
Still hopeful that the camera’s owner is found, though.
#11 – what do you mean? You know the man in the photo?
from Stevens:
‘She could do way better.’
Really? The moderator of this blog is approving crap like that?!
Perhaps he’s a gentleman. Maybe he’s incredibly wealthy. Maybe he’s great in bed.
Who are *you* to say she could do better, based on *one* PICTURE of the guy in question?
Some people have nerve. I hope the guy finds you and beats the tar out of you.
#11 So could you!
This is why I like Hills and Heights.
