03/26/2010 11:15 AM by John M
The Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods is offering the two-story brick house at 421-423 North 33d Street (built circa 1910), in the Oakwood-Chimborazo Historic District, for sale to a buyer willing to renovate.
This Classical Revival house features a front porch and a projecting two-story bay with a decorative lunette. The interior was gutted (making it primed for rehabilitation) by a previous owner; however, it retains hardwood floors and a slate roof. It is located two blocks north of Chimborazo Park […] Approximate Square Footage: 4,056 […] Asking Price: $112,500 [$110,000 plus $2,500 option fee] ALL OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED! Contact: Lane Pearson, Property Director ~ 804.644.5040 lpearson@richmondneighborhoods.org.
Now if something can be done with the other four empty houses on that block.
For those keeping tally, this was an Oliver Lawrence property.
Holy crap, 4000 sqft! That would be awesome if someone had the time and money to restore it.
If you had only seen Church Hill– both north and south– in 1969, you would think this house is in GREAT condition. One house at a time…
