King leaving Richmond Police Department
03/27/2010 2:15 PM by John M
There is an email circulating from Jack King, announcing that he is leaving the Richmond Police Department to take a position with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management:
I want to take all of you for everything you did for me and for all you are doing for your community and the City of Richmond. During my time as Sector Commander, and later as the Commander of First Precinct, I always looked forward to seeing each of you at meetings and on the street. The Command Staff of the Police Department was very aware of the great work you all were doing as I would mention you at every opportunity. I wish all of you the best and keep up the great work in your neighborhood.
Jack King’s leaving the police department will be a loss for all of us in First Precinct. I wish him the best in his new position.
Thanks for all your efforts here, Jack. You’ll be missed. Good luck in your next endeavor.
