Beginning-ish Gardeners Workshop @ Chimbo Community Garden

Backyard Farmers will be conducting a workshop covering soil health and amendments, planting, watering, bed management, row cover, cold frames, and other tips for successful gardening at the new Tricycle Community Garden @ Chimbo Playground Park. Cost: $20 plus optional materials (you can build a cold frame or hoop house, get seeds or seedlings, etc.)

Saturday Matinee at the Robinson Theater

A showing of Little Rascals (1994 version; 84 minutes) for all ages to attend. Family, friends, neighbors are all welcomed and encouraged to come relax with a bag of popcorn together. Admission $1. Snack bar open.

Open Mic @ Poe’s

Veggie Bus

The veggie bus will be parked at 25th and Broad on Tuesdays from 10AM untill 2:30PM and then the NRC on Williamsburg Road in Fulton from 3PM until 6PM, and on Wednesdays at 25th and Broad again from 11am till 7pm starting Jan 6th.

We will always be at Libby Hill Park each Thursday from 4-6pm for our CSA drop off.

We have collards kale creasy greens apples potatoes winter squash sausage BBQ chicken eggs milk cheese butter yogurt cider maple syrup apple butterand more so come support local farmers and get healthy goods, too.

Renovator’s Open House on Marshall Street

The Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods will host another Renovator’s Open House event at the newly renovated, no longer leaning, 2200 East Marshall Street on Wednesday, March 31st from 5:30-7PM. RBVa President David Cooley will be on hand to answer questions about the restoration of this 19th-century Queen Anne style house. PLEASE RSVP. We’ll talk about the Community Supported Agriculture model of eating fresh local vegetables and have lots of details about our farm’s CSA program, which runs from June through Thanksgiving.
