City Council considers real estate tax rate at Monday’s meeting

After a public hearing during Monday night’s meeting (PDF), City Council will vote on a variety of ordinances concerning the real estate tax rate.

Ord. No. 2010-49 (PDF) (Patrons: Mr. Tyler and Mr. Samuels) – To amend City Code *** to reduce the real estate tax rate from $1.20 *** to $1.19 *** for the tax year beginning January 1, 2010.

Ord. No. 2010-50 (PDF) (Patrons: President Graziano, Mr. Jewell and Mr. Samuels) – To amend City Code *** to increase the real estate tax rate from $1.20 *** to $1.21 *** for the tax year beginning January 1, 2010.

Ord. No. 2010-51 (PDF) (Patrons: President Graziano and Mr. Jewell) – To amend City Code *** to increase the real estate tax rate from $1.20 *** to $1.22 *** for the tax year beginning January 1, 2010.

Ord. No. 2010-52 (PDF) (Patron: Vice-President Robertson) – To amend City Code *** to increase the real estate tax rate from $1.20 *** to $1.21 *** for the tax year beginning January 1, 2010 for the purpose of providing additional dedicated funding in an amount equal to the revenue generated such increase for purposes related to public education.

No. 2010-53 (PDF) (Patron: Vice-President Robertson) – To amend City Code *** to increase the real estate tax rate from $1.20 *** to $1.22 *** for the tax year beginning January 1, 2010 for the purpose of providing additional dedicated funding in an amount equal to the revenue generated such increase for purposes related to public education.

No. 2010-54 (PDF) (Patron: Vice-President Robertson) – To amend City Code *** to increase the real estate tax rate from $1.20 *** to $1.23 *** for the tax year beginning January 1, 2010 for the purpose of providing additional dedicated funding in an amount equal to the revenue generated such increase for purposes related to public education.

Ord. No. 2010-62 (PDF) (Patrons: President Graziano, Mr. Jewell and Mr. Samuels) – To readopt *** real estate tax rate of $1.20 for the tax year beginning Jan. 1, 2009 and for each year thereafter.
