Tricycle Gardens seeking entries for Edible R-evolution Garden Tour
The folks at Tricycle Gardens are looking for entries for their new Edible R-evolution Garden Tour:
Are you part of Richmond’s Edible R-evolution? Do you have a fabulous, creative, and sustainable kitchen garden? Do you want to share your awesomeness with others interested in growing their own food? Then please nominate your garden to be a part of this exciting new event for Tricycle Gardens.
On Saturday, July 17, 2010 we will be holding our first annual Edible R-evolution Garden Tour. The plan is to have a city-wide tour featuring twenty distinctive private kitchen gardens, several of Tricycle’s gardens as well as some other examples of urban agriculture in Richmond. The tour will end with a reception at our Jefferson Avenue garden in Church Hill…and there will be prizes!
Want to see your garden on our tour? Then please email aalmond19@hotmail.com to get your application form or see our website for more information http://www.tricyclegardens.org
All submittals will be reviewed by a jury of all-stars in the local food and community gardening movement to determine which ten gardens will make it onto our tour.
The call for entries will close on April 30, 2010 so submit your garden now!
I wonder if patio gardens count. Our kitchen isn’t set up correctly for a proper garden, but we converted half our patio garden space to food crops.
yes on the patio garden! We would love to show the diversity of how people are growing food.
I have a new 12X16 raised bed behind my house and I am planting veggies and herbs. However, I have not gardened for 30 some years and I am sure I made some stupid mistakes. I have tried to make up my lack of knowledge with overwhelming enthusiasm. I would be happy to be on the tour if you need a garden like mine. Check it out and let me know. It is in the rear of 801 n 24th. I’ll also fill out the application. Peace.
Is it 10 or 20 gardens?
