Come out for the great spring cleaning!

The Union Hill, Church Hill Central, Unity, and New Visions civic associations have a neighborhood clean-up set for this Saturday. Trash bags and grabbers will be provided. Come out to one of the 4 meet-up locations to help out:
- Union Hill – 10AM @ Jessamine and 23rd Streets
- New Visions – 8AM @ Q and 23rd Streets
- Church Hill Central – 8AM @ 25th and Nine Mile
- Unity – 8AM @ 22nd and X Street
How much time should I budget for the clean-up?
2 hours? Some folks roll longer than that, but the little trash grabby thing will likely start to wear you out about then.
So what area will they cover?
Will this be like the old Alley Rallys, where I can put items out to be picked up?
Church Hill Central will work down 25th towards Broad Street. New Visions will focus on the area between Carrington, 25th, Fairmount, and 20th. I think that Union Hill will be likely be working Venable Street. I’m not sure where Unity will be.
We weren’t able to get a city truck, I called too late in the process for that. If you’ve got something to get rid off or there is something already dumped in your alley, put in a request through Citizen’s Request or call 311.

One of those mattresses is mine, and the bulk pick-up is scheduled for my area May 2nd-8th. Just so ya know I have called and am *trying* to be on top of things! ~smile~ I hafta share that in the past I have called for pick-up for items several times. This time I recieved much more information, and it seemed WAY more efficient. VERY COOL!
