Three notable houses for sale
11/02/2010 11:00 AM by John M
FOR SALE: 2500 East Grace Street, 2501 East Grace Street, and 2800 East Grace Street.
Hmm. I wonder, why the exodus?
Who knows, but it does not have to be perceived as a negative. Two of the properties are owned by the same person. People retire, sell investment property, etc.
Since when did CHPN become a vehicle for Ms. Dotts’ real estate business other than her (presumably) paid ads? I guess cooler weather means we are no longer drying our laundry on the bushes out front. Even if we are keeping our K Mart unmentionables inside these days, I am surprised to see Dotts’ advertising creeping out of the site sidebar.
John, you didn’t drink from that pitcher of oh so tastefully flavored Kool Aid, did you?
2500 East Grace was Roy Blanks’s place and he is deceased; I think Randy Blankenship inherited that house. I believe 2800 East Grace also belongs to a deceased person, it used to be Randy Blankenship’s house but someone told me that he had also died (I’m not sure of that fact, though). That’s not an exodus, it’s just settling an estate.
@Right on Broad – Sometimes things that are for sale (including houses) are interesting. I’m usually drawn to the super cheap houses, but seeing all three of these historic houses, in such close proximity, come for sale at the same time seemed worth noting.
Right on Broad, You are confusing Jennie and her sister Jeanne. Jeanne was the one that was quoted in the article about hanging laundry out to dry. Jennie and Jeanne are identical twins.
Randy Blankenship isn’t dead, he’s just moved to Monument, that’s all…
#7 thanks.
Any way I can put 2800 E Grace on layaway???
I heard the owners are moving to escape the growing segway menace
This is pure coincidence. The owner of the first house got married; the owner of the second house died some years ago. Not “escaping” anything other than having multiple homes. Don’t know about the third.
@7 The house on Monument (1808) is in foreclosure…again.
