Got a good source for firewood?

Got a good source for firewood?
It’s our first winter up here on the Hill and we are using our fireplaces a lot already. We have one recommendation from a neighbor for a wood source and our first load was good. Still, I’d like to have two or three options, just in case. Any suggestions?
You should try riverside outfitters.
They run wood splitting operations all year around and will deliver and
stack for a small fee.

How about wood pellet supplies?
David, I called them this morning, and they are fantastic! I feel awfully lazy paying to have my wood stacked, but in this weather, it’s a great option!
My recommendation – pellet/corn stove. Initially pellet/corn stoves are somewhat expensive $ 2-3,000 and obviously are more than an existing fireplace. But without costly inserts, fire doors and blowers etc, fireplaces are very inefficient. Corn or pellet stoves are 85% efficient and burn 97% of fuel and clean-up is minimum (no soot/smoke a consideration if folks have allegeries). You order pellets by the ton in 40 pound bags for about $2.50 a bag (last 12-18 hrs) and you don’t have to lug the wood or split/stack it, clean it, watch for termights/bugs, or wait for it to dry out. My pellet stove has reduced my heating bills by about 50%.
My neighbor burns anything… she has a woodpile of junk in her back… one time there was a staircase out there… it stinks so bad too. It smells like a house on fire.
I called them as well! thanks….I am getting a delivery on Friday!
pellet stove owner – where do you get your pellets? am having a hard time finding them in richmond. thanks
I recently bought some bags from Southern States.
We need to get a coop for pellets going so we can buy cheaply by pallet.
fire wood is free for city residents at the stump dump !
