OMG Cafe seeking beer/wine/mixed ABC for 25th Street location
02/13/2011 12:45 PM by John M
According to the Feb.9 ABC Report (PDF), OMG Cafe & Lounge is seeking a beer/wine/mixed ON ABC license for the restaurant space at 412 North 25th Street (earlier reported as a possible Keema’s Crown Pizza and Burger).
tacky
Is that really the name? Hopefully the food won’t be all, you know, like OMG.
Why has the attack not started on this place? Buffington’s was well on its way to all sorts of name calling by this point. I guess none of the people that live near this place have internet? Or maybe its far enough away from all of the “concerned” neighbors that it doesn’t matter. Just saying.
“me” From the way it reads, the ABC license is for “seeking a beer/wine/mixed ON ABC license for the restaurant space at 412 North 25th Street.” emphasis being “ON” license, not take out.
Is there anything for sale nearby? OMG Cafe needs a complementary LOL WTF BBQ. Perhaps Alamo will move and change its name.
ME … do your homework. Nothing close to being the same.
ME#3 – i couldn’t agree more!
and #6 – ‘teachers’ can be soooo boring sometimes………
N. O. B. – what me worry???
The partons could come out drunk thereby making the establishment responsible for any noise.
el: LMAO!!
That is awesome, “el.” I was hoping someone other than me was thinking that.
Is Usher opening a restaurant in CH?? No way!!
ROFLMAO Market, Deli, Nail Salon and Barber Shop (ABC OFF)-Welcome to the Gateway of North of Broad!
I happen to know the Parton’s, Dolly gave up drinking years ago!
It looks like the type of business going in succession at the location is declining. It is basically now just a beer joint with the minimal required food to be able to get an ABC license. Seedy.
@7 That’s why you live NOB!
laura you sound like a total racist pig
yeah laura, what are you trying to say about us folks who live NOB.
are you assuming that i’m a minority, poor or just plain not good enough to live S.O.B??
please clarify before i jump to conclusions!!!
@15 You bore me.
@16 I’m not assuming anything sweetie…just stating a fact. Oh, and you jump on anything you want to…knock yourself out!
can I get a “what what”?
How awesome would it be if Laura sang “I’ve written a letter to Daddy” at the opening of OMG?
OH OH OH OH OH MY OH OH OH MY MY MY MY MY MY OMG!!
@17- ok laura… i was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. but apparently there’s no reason to. you must really enjoy being a close-minded, holier-than-thou B*TCH!
if you don’t live NOB- you dont know what the hell you’re talking about. I’ll take my ethnically, socially and economically diverse neighborhood over whatever vanilla, beige, clone-ville you hail from any day!!
if you hate the people that live in this area so much, you should just do yourself and everyone else a favor and move!
Happy Trails…
These NOB/SOB stereotypes that some love to perpetrate really intrigue me.
I live on Broad Street so am I less or more morally/culturally/spiritually superior (or inferior) to my neighbors across the street?
And would I feel better about myself if I moved to M Street? Or how about Franklin?
I truly need some guidance here because I really want to feel better about myself.
@19 There are only rats in the cellars NOB, Blanche!
Laura, I’m struck yet again at what a kind, cool chick you seem to be. We should totally grab a coffee sometime. Though I do live NOB… Guess I’ll have to head a few blocks over to your special hood.
@24 AWWW…thanks but, no thanks!
Laura, OMG! Be still my heart! I’m coming over on Oscar night. Canape’?
#25 Laurich – keep shinin you A H
Would anyone else be interested in taking up a collection to get laura out of our beloved neighborhood?
@28 I’m certain that I don’t live in YOUR neighborhood. If you wanted to buy me out, you better start collecting lots of those pennies…plebe. I only associate with the classes…not the masses. Get the hint.
Laura is not a church hill resident. She just starts arguments from her short pump condo.
Tell Laura I Love her!
@3o I’m watching you James.
This is so boring.
Doubtful laura. My neighborhood is too good for you.
when did this blog turn in to high school?
can everyone please stop feeding the troll
i think this whole thing was very shallow minded of the people who posted the ignorance abt that buisness & drama or trouble they expect from there patrons. Trouble & noise don’t just come out of minority establishments. And i truely believe that if it would create this much of a problem it should of stayed a eye soare in a neighborhood no one’s in a rush to rehab or invest ror the next 15 yrs!!!!
the more the merrier. if the place is good no one will care about a silly name. give it a chance. if they make it, all the better. what’s in a name anyways, right? OMG Cafe, better than VACANT BUILDING.
WALKED BY OMG CAFE’ &LOUNGE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I’VE BEEN IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR A WHILE AND I CAN REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS 25TH STREET BAR& GRILL IT WAS VERY FUGLY AND TASTELESS AS I CAN RECALL SO I WALKED UP AND PULLED THE DOOR TO TAKE A LOOK TO SEE IF MY NEIGHBORHOOD SHOULD BE EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW AND UPCOMING CAFE’ IT WAS VERY NICE….CLEAN LOOKING AND I MET WITH THE OWNERS VERY NICE, INVITING, PLEASENT PEOPLE THEY EVEN LET ME REVIEW THE MENU I TELL YOU WHAT I DON’T CARE WHAT ANY ONE ELSE HAS TO SAY ABOUT IT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO IT OPENING AND TASTEING THE FOOD AND YES MY NEIGHBORHOOD SHOULD BE EXCITED I HAVE TO AGREE WITH G AND MARVIN EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE SHEESH THE PLACE HAS NOT EVEN OPEN YET!
No chance at all that Autumn is connected with OMG cafe. NO CHANCE AT ALL.
The Best food in Church hill chicken and waffles and fish is amazing. Bar tender is great too
