John, I think you have the wrong photo of 2902 East Leigh Street, below is a link to an image of the house:
ACORN has had an option on the house for the last six months. The house could be a great rehab project. It’ll be bittersweet to see it torn down. I hate looking at the crumbling house with the raccoons and feral cats that live in the foundation. On the other hand, I don’t want to see another vacant lot in the neighborhood.
Fixed, thanks!
Can someone comment on the events and resolutions for the properties on the CAR agenda especially the 401 N 27th building? Thanks
Eric #3, I think someone on the staff can probably at least give you a synopsis of what happened re 401 N 27th. I don’t have the phone number handy but it used to be in the phone book, it’s part of community development (or used to be) or you might be able to get connected thru the 311 process (work the menu there until you get a human). It’s been my experience that the staff members in that department are pretty helpful over the phone when it comes to getting info.
I’m sure there are minutes of the meetings, but not sure how long it takes to get a copy, might be a month if they have to approve the minutes at the next meeting.
