Open Source looks at RPS and the push for IB at Chimborazo

04/14/2011 8:36 AM by

The next episode of Open Source airs Friday at 10AM on 97.3, can be streamed online at wrir.org, and will be available for podcast in the afternoon:

First we’ll be looking at the surprising increase in enrollment at Richmond Public Schools. We’ll also talk about Chimborazo Elementary’s attempts to become IB certified and what it means for the rest of the system and the potential it could have to change a neighborhood. School Board member Kim Gray is the guest.

Perhaps you heard last week that Donald Trump bought the Kluge vineyard at a foreclosure auction. This seems like the perfect time to assess the state of the Virginia wine industry. Has it finally arrived? Bartholomew Broadbent, a world expert on Port and Madeira wines (and owner of a wine distributor here in Richmond) will join Annette Boyd, Director of the Virginia Wine Board Marketing Office, to discuss.
