Glenwood to get new zoning, sale to Better Housing Coalition?

To conditionally rezone the properties know as 3510 Glenwood Avenue, 3516 Glenwood Avenue, 610 North 36th Street, 603 Rear North 35th Street, and 609 Rear North 35th Street from the R-5 Single-Family Residential District to the R-63 Multifamily Urban Residential District (Conditional), upon certain proffered conditions.
There will be a public hearing on May 23rd at 6PM.
It looks like this land is to be sold to Better Housing Coalition to develop?
Odd… it’s useless land … it’s a landfill.
Better Housing Coalition is not considering purchase of this property. We were notified of its availability for sale last year but it is not in our development plans.

This is on the agenda for the City Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, May 16, 2011 in the 5th floor conference room of City Hall at 1:30 p.m..
UPDATE: the City Planning Commission voted unanimously against the conditional rezoning at today’s meeting. three residents spoke in opposition and the Planning Staff had recommended against the rezoning following their review.
This rezoning ordinance was withdrawn by the owner.
