OMG Café: The owner at this new Church Hill spot, Deandre Johnson, says the restaurant is selling 100 orders of chicken and waffles a day from a list of soul food options. “We have large portions and we don’t use any canned food,” he says. Smothered chicken and pork chops, garlic mashed potatoes and fresh cabbage are other menu highlights; most entrees are less than $9. 412 N. 25th St. 269-0531. omgcafelounge.web.com.

Yay for Deandre! Even if he did make fun of me for being unable to finish my chicken and waffles (the portion was HUGE). The pork chop is excellent too and he takes pride in making individual portions of gravy for each dish. If you haven’t done so already check OMG out.
Great news for a great place!
Yum! Love OMG Cafe’!!!!!
Bring back the booths.

OMG is worth more than one trip. The interior has a Manhattan-loft edge, the service is quick and cordial, and most important the food is good.
Had lunch there a couple of days ago and was impressed. They are doing very well. Fresh food, clean and polite.
Stopped by for a very late dinner on Friday night…about the time most other places would say “no way” to serving us. OMG welcomed us with smiles and Legend brown on tap. Service as swell, as was the food and company of other patrons. What a nice little neighborhood place.
I haven’t been in yet but I’ve heard the best things! Has anyone seen an online menu? Just curious!
Thank God for places like OMG. The last thing the neighborhood needed was another Bob Buffington/Victor “Whine” venture. Thank you OMG for bring real food to the neighborhood.
I had lunch there on Saturday and it was delicious! Very friendly, I liked the decor, and everything we ordered was great. I especially liked their cornbread.
They have great homemade cornbread, everyday. I understand they will be open on Sunday real soon. The food has been just amazing everytime I have been there.
