Baby goats!
07/07/2011 8:06 AM by John M
Huguenot Hundred Acres will have 2 baby goats with them at the Tricycle Gardens’ Farm Stand on Jefferson Avenue this afternoon.
How did I miss this? Every event is improved by baby goats.
If only chickens and goats were allowed within the city limits, I’d never have had to move to a leaky historic house in the country…
Beth, you can have a goat and/or a cow and so much more.
Yes, that’s right. Apparently you can have hoofed animals but they must not wear bells. Homes must be fenced in, to protect them. According to “code” you may take the cow/goat, etc. for walks as long as they are not roaming free.
Current city code allows cows, horses, mules and goats, although the code specifies that they cannot “go at large, graze or pasture on any street, alley, park or unenclosed lot within the city.”
