New life for an old sign

The Bromo-Seltzer/A.W.Broaddus sign on the side of 623 North 25th Street is being restored again. The sign was uncovered in 2005 when the stucco was removed from the former fish market, restored at that time, and had since begun to peel quite badly.

I had some friends that got mad it was being painted over. I tried to tell them that maybe it was being restored. Looks great so far!
I have to admit that my heart did skip a beat when I saw that it had been primed over for a couple of days. One of those… “oh noooo, it can’t be” moments. Happily breathed a sigh of relief when the “cut rate drugs” circles appeared. Looks crisp and perfect. Great job!
Looks fantastic!
Is this not the side of the new restaurant in CH? When is this opening? The anticipation is killing me.
i kind of got a little worried when i thought it was being painted over as well.
so glad it is being redone and SO EXCITED for the opening!
Found the misspelled word while looking at the sign yesterday 🙂
#6: Do I see Rexall StEre instead of Rexall StOre in the top picture (2011)? I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out the misspelled word….John, was that a challenge to us readers of the blog? Felt like a challenge to me, anyway!
