OMG Cafe gets good words
08/05/2011 10:48 AM by John M
Jon and Leah Nelson visit OMG Cafe for richmond.com and come away happy:
OMG Café must have a lot of faith in its chicken and waffles ($9.99) if they are immortalized on the wall, so we couldn’t resist. When the dish appeared and the friendly chef saw our mouths drop, he affectionately shouted, “O. M. G.” Okay, now we get the name. […] The beauty of OMG Café is that it knows what it is and does it well. It may not be for everyone, but if you don’t mind a deep-fried indulgence every now and then, OMG Café should make your list of casual eats.

crazy good – glad to see that this not well known addition to the hill is receiving some good/well deserved pub
Ahmen! Great food. If folks want to support a local restaurant now is your chance. Go.
On behalf of me & my staff I wanna thank you all for the support. I will continue to use fresh and local products prepared right before you while you wait.
In the beginning I vowed not to put one dime into advertisement until I was able to gain the trust of the locals so all the advertisements that we are receiving now I owe it to my customers because it was you guys who did it, it was the word of mouth you guys spread thru co- workers & friends,it was your commitment to continue to come every week and over look the bland exterior and discover the beauty of the interior and the passion I display cooking for my family, (My family) meaning my customers whom become more than just a customers the ones who make it more than worth it to me everyday to be here.
I can safely say my heart has finally found a home in Church Hill(OMG) and its customers are like one big family and we are so diverse when it comes to atmosphere,(for example) we may have Joe the plumber drinking a cold draft with Jordan the CEO, troubled couples who rekindled the flame by sharing a dish together putting problems aside for a moment while there here.
I don’t wanna be to mushy but I especially wanna thank my buddies crazy Bill C. the lovely Elaine Odell and her hubby of course Trish and her hubby.
Thank you all for your local veggies I love and cook daily.The one person I thank personally is the Lord Jesus Christ for providing me with a new place I call home for being my provider and allowing me a way serve you because it was me whom put my past behind but it is you who provided my future……Thank you lord Thank you friends for our sort of grass root advertising LOL ….did i just say that, come on down family I’m waiting .
@Deandre
Thank you for sharing your love with the community. If only we could have more business owners like you.
@Deandre: Keep doing what you are doing and people will find you. How long can this amazing eatery remain a secret?
Here’s to my next meal of meatloaf, collards, mac-n-cheese and homemade cornbread. Peace.
