Gone

I walked my dog by that house nearly every day and, though I am a huge fan of renovating old houses, this is no loss. Frankly, I don’t really think one side of a duplex should be left standing, as was the situation with this house. You lose the symmetry of the structure and thus, I assume, some of the appeal of rehabbing it and buying it. And I find it hard to believe that you don’t lose some of the structural stability of a duplex when you tear down one half of the building. Either keep both sides or tear them both down and create a nice buildable lot.
