Kids beat car with bats in Fulton
11/28/2011 9:14 AM by John M
November 27th at approximately 5:45PM I witnessed several teenagers on our block beating my neighbor’s car window with a baseball bat. We called RPD and several neighbors chased the kids back into the woods that lead down to the apartments off Jennie Scher and Government. We need help identifying these kids as they are believed by the cops to have done a lot more damage in the past few weeks. There were 6 African American individuals, one female & the rest were male. The female was holding the bat and several of us have noticed her in the neighborhood recently.
Awesome. Kids these days…
Why don’t you keep an eye out for her and be ready with a camera the next time? That might help the cops to identify her. If several of you have noticed her in the neighborhood recently, there’s several of you who can snap a picture. Good luck.
Would help to know what street this was spotted on, and whether it happened on the Fulton or Montrose side of Government Road?
A couple of weeks ago, two teen girls had a throwdown in the middle of broad street. One was punching the other and pinned her down directly on top of the yellow lines in the middle of the road. THeir friends, mostly teen aged boys, stood around in a circle and egged them on. Needless to say, cars had to swerve and this became a dangerous situation.
The most telling thing was that this fight occurrend directly in front a policemans house. His car was parked by the fight. The kids were fighting within 10 feet of a parked police car!
We called the police and got my policeman neighbor out to stop the fight, but the kids all ran before anything could be done. I suspect that tis is probably the same group of kids.
The incident occured on Farrand St across from the Carlisle Ave Baptist Church in Montrose Heights.
Dang, people chased the kids all the way from there to the woods by Jennie Scher & Government Roads? That’s a pretty long foot chase…the kids probably live in Ashley Oaks. They could easily access Church Hill or Montrose by foot from that location.
Rocks were thrown at my car by 6-10 kids as I stopped at stop signs on Admiral Gravely, right in the same area. The kids seemed very young! This wasn’t very recent, but it certainly stopped me from driving down that street.
Didn’t seem worth mentioning before, but I was awake about a week ago at 3 AM by the sound of roughly 5-10 kids, who sounded really really young, like elementary school age, running, yelling, screaming. When I woke up I saw a bunch of bricks had been removed from my front yard and some where way down the street, but didn’t see any damage. This was corner of 27th and P.
Sounds like we have a pack of feral children in our midst…
Perhaps it’s time for the Terminator!
“HASTA LEVISTA………….BABY!”
the female and two of her male friends were in the church hill neighborhood a while back. She was trying to fence clothing that was obviously stolden. One of the males mentioned that the house I’m living in on E.Broad St. used to be his old club house. I don’t beleive its true as he would have been about five years old at the time. They seem to be drug addicts, in their early twenties, not teenagers.
@#8 I think I heard these kids come by my house near the park outside of Mason Elementary. I remember it being absurdly late and when I looked out the window I was surprised to see such young kids walking by. I didn’t see them damage anything, though. I believe they walked towards P St along 27th.
and these are the reasons i moved to byrd park
