700 North 26th Street, built in either 1852 or 1853, was a meeting hall owned by Springfield Division #167 Sons of Temperance (and later operated as General Hospital #26 during the Civil War).

I wonder since this building is about 4 blocks away and even though nearly 40 years newer, if it was influenced by the 401 N 27th building? The 401 building originally had arched windows but the basic structure if you look quick, is very similar.
