i really enjoyed the program today. i went to richmond public school majority of my life and i can honestly say that i wasn’t taught much about black history. My children, nieces and nephews are in richmond public schools and they still are taught only the minimal. i do not blame the school system because it is up to us to teach our children our story. As a 31 year old woman i take it as a personal challenge to help our future to know where we came from. how can we appreciate what others have done for us if we don’t know!!
