Church Hill Secret Gardens Symphony Tour

The Church Hill Secret Gardens Symphony Tour features intimate concerts from the Richmond Symphony’s chamber ensembles and Youth Orchestra, performing in eight picturesque locations throughout the St. John’s Historic District, as well as tours of historic homes and gardens. Ticket price includes Cooper Vineyards wine, accompanied by cheese tasting from Whole Foods. Tickets: $35 per person.

City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Frequency
Typically the second and fourth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)

Green Unity’s Strawberry Festival

The VCU Community Garden and Green Unity at VCU will host the first annual VCU Strawberry Festival at VCU’s community garden, located at 900 Turpin Street next to the Jonah L. Larrick Center.
The first edition of Green Unity’s “Strawberry Festival Recipe Book” will be sold at the event to raise funds for its community garden.
During the festival, we will hold a strawberry recipe swap while contestants can participate in the first annual “Green Unity Strawberry Dish Cook-Off.” If you have food you would like to submit, please arrive by 2 p.m. with your dish and make it as delicious, nutritious and original as possible. The top three contestants will receive a strawberry planter full of sweet strawberries ready to eat!
Neighbors’ Night Out at Station 2 to support Chimborazo Elementary

Join us at Station 2 (2016 E. Main Street) and share a meal to raise funds that support Chimborazo Elementary’s IB initiative. Station 2 is generously donating 10% of all sales to the cause so come on out, meet some new neighbors and enjoy the best burgers in RVA
Open Mic @ Poe\’s

All musicians welcome! Support local business and local music talent. Music open Mic is every Tuesday at Poe’s. Hosted by local CH resident, Jim Daab. Sign-up is at 8:30 pm. Bring your own instruments and tell your friends. Jim has instruments and congas that you can use as well.
