Sector 113 report for June
06/26/2012 6:15 AM by John M
Lt.Armstead’s Sector 113 report for June (PDF) is now available for all points north of Carrington and Nine Mile. Includes this nugget:
LARGE GROUPS
Be aware of large groups of kids roaming the streets during the evening to late night hours, call the police immediately so that we can respond, and take action on them. These groups appear to have nothing do, are loud, disorderly, and/or vandalize property. Do not try to approach them because some of them may harm you. CALL THE POLICE
Great, roaming bands of teen ner do wells. Just what we need.
We had to call the police Monday morning for a group of young people (15 or so) who were loud, obnoxious, littering and urinating in the alley of North 29th Street at 2 AM. The police responded as the group started to disperse in vehicles, so no action was taken. Nothing more frustrating than being woken up at 2 AM by people who had no business on the block.
I agree Ryan… it’s happened here too.
First week of school out and we had our first act of vandalism here last week with US flag and porch flag stolen. Really???? Who steals flags????????
There is an 11 pm curfew for people under the age of 18. I always call when I see young people out after curfew. I am not sure how young the folks in this group are, but I would rather my teenager be brought home to me in a police car than be out in the neighborhood late at night in a possibly dangerous situation. I’d rather a young person be in trouble than be shot.
Chip,
When I lived on the hill someone stole the American flag off my front porch too. Found it down the street a few blocks on the sidewalk. You might want to check around you some as I doubt they are stealing it to take it…the just want to be annoying.
