Run to the River 5k/10k 2012

It’s time to sign up to run or volunteer for the Rockett’s Landing Run to the River 5k/10k 2012 benefitting Fulton’s Neighborhood Resource Center:

Join us Saturday October 20th, 2012 at 9:30am for a truly challenging 10k! You will tackle 3 hills, conquer 2 stair sets, run over cobble stones, dash through historic neighborhoods, and race along the banks of the James River in this awesome Urban X-Country race.

Or, if that sounds too intense, you can bring your family on the 5k walk through the scenic East End. After the race, celebrate at the finish line party in your American-made race shirt. You will enjoy the best race food you’ve ever had and a live band and prizes.

ALL proceeds from this event support quality programs and resources for children and adults at the Neighborhood Resource Center, a 501c3 non-profit, whose mission is to foster personal growth and community change in Greater Fulton.

It’s a fun time. I volunteered a few years ago and took some photos, and everybody involved seemed to have a great day.
