Church Hill Chillers ghost tour

Oakwood neighborhood clean-up

Let your Saturday go to waste – join in T.T.Y. monthly neighborhood effort to pick up litter! Meet at 1023 Oakwood Avenue. Trash bags , pick up rods, and gloves will be provided. Yoga in the Park – Continued

Thanks to the support and encouragement of our fellow Church Hill Yogis, Nava Life Yoga and Wellness (Jimmy and Tonita) will continue its “Yoga in the Park” sessions at Jefferson Park through the Summer. Classes are FREE and held every Saturday from 10-11AM (weather permitting). Bring your mat (we have extras if you need one), a bottle of water and an OPEN heart. 2012 Reenactment Series at St.John’s Church

The Patrick Henry Committee invites you to bring your friends and family to a reenactment of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775. In the presence of Washington, Jefferson, and other notable Virginians, Patrick Henry delivered his passionate call for liberty, uttering the immortal words, “Give me liberty or give me death!” These events are free and open to the public. Tickets are distributed at 1:00pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call 804-648-5015 for more information.

City Council Formal Meeting

Mon Aug 27 6:00 pm
Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Richmond Council Chambers, Richmond City Hall, 2nd floor; 900 E. Broad Street

Frequency
Typically the second and fourth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)
