Death investigation on 38th Street (UPDATE)
09/17/2012 6:31 AM by John M
An adult woman got into an argument with another person in a home in the 1200 block of North 38th Street on Sunday afternoon, said Richmond police Capt. Angela Greene.
“It turned physical,” Greene said. The woman, who was not identified, fell on an object and died. “It’s a death investigation right now.”
This has been classified as a homicide, the 5th in the East End this year.
Richmond Police detectives have arrested a man in connection with yesterday’s death of a woman on North 38th Street.
Shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of North 38th Street and found Loleatta B. Brown, 36, of the same address, deceased inside.
Investigators have charged Keith T. Jones, 51, also of the same address, with involuntary manslaughter.
They believe Jones and Brown argued, which led to a physical altercation during which Jones pushed Brown onto a glass table. She died at the scene from the injuries she sustained.
