Flames 231 another good pizza option

Dana Craig has good things to say about the new Flames 231 in the Cold Storage building:

The latest embodiment of the area’s marriage of past and present can be found at Flames 231, a slick new pizzeria named after Locomotive 231, which was entombed beneath nearby Jefferson Park after a 1925 tunnel collapse.

Part of the newly renovated Cold Storage project on 18th Street north of Broad Street, this “authentic wood-fired pizza” restaurant is a visual stunner. Huge red lanterns and floor-to-ceiling windows offset exposed brick walls and concrete floors. A long, sleek bar offers unobstructed views of the pizza oven’s open flames.
