Mapping average income by census tract

Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks maps the average income by census tract.
Yep, I brought up this fact during the UH Old & Historic debate. It’s the main reason I felt making us curators for the city in our own homes was too much for the neighborhood. Of course the 5 or 6 vocal advocates, all with much higher incomes, shouted loudest. Typically the wealthy win, and it’s always been a sham, er shame.
What I remember from all that was the preacher from that slumlord church on Venable Street getting called out.
It’ll be better for all of us in the long run to have the neighborhood stabilized, fixed up, and safe, rather than vacant and dodgy. Or should the low income neighbors have to be surrounded by vacant houses and crime?
