Presentation on Adaptive Reuse and Displacement at next UHCA meeting

Union Hill’s next neighborhood meeting is Wednesday May 15, 2013. 7pm, at 2314 Jefferson Avenue (corner of 24th & Jefferson.) Everyone is welcome.

We’ll get a special presentation on two hot topics in our neighborhood: Adaptive Reuse and Displacement in Union Hill.

VCU Masters of Urban and Regional Planning Program will present two of their 2013 class projects: The Adaptive Reuse study examines potential uses for existing corner commercial buildings and the impact of current zoning. The Displacement study analyzes demographic and economic data and places it in the context of current academic thinking on the topic.

The kids have been working on this all semester long: we owe it to them to come out and listen to what they learned about our neighborhood. See you there!
