Church Hill: From Spies to Pies

Eating/walking tour: Church Hill has a storied past and its future looks brighter than ever with a revitalized culinary scene that includes The Roosevelt, Dutch & Company, Sub Rosa Bakery, Proper Pie Co., WPA Bakery, Cucina, Anthony’s on the Hill and the place that started it all, The Hill Cafe. Tickets are $42 with a small ticketing fee.

TRX in Libby Hill Park

With warmer weather on the way, sometimes it’s hard to make it to the gym. We get it. That’s why we’re moving the fun outdoors. Starting in May we’ll offer TRX & Yoga in the Park.
Yoga / 1st and 3rd TUES of each month at 7PM
TRX / 2nd and 4th SAT of each month at 9AM
If you’re a member at Richmond Balance it’s FREE! Punch cards are welcome. Don’t have a membership or a punch card? No worries, the drop-in price is $5 per class.

Fireworks at Rocketts

Rocketts Red Glare is a free event — thanks to major sponsors like The Boathouse restaurant — and features a variety of live music and tasty food that the whole family can enjoy. Everyone is encouraged to bring comfy chairs and blankets, picnicking along the Rocketts Landing riverfront is always welcomed (just no outside alcohol, please)! And your leashed canine family members can even join the fun.
An Evening at Richmond Hill with Chris Heuertz

Chris Heuertz has been the Director of the Word Made Flesh community for nearly 20 years. Chris was mentored by Mother Teresa and is an advocate for the poorest of the poor. Come hear him talk about his new book, Unexpected Gifts. It is a look into how the soul is shaped through fidelity in difficult relationships.

City Council Formal Meeting
Mon May 27 6:00 pm
Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Historic Cemeteries Revisited Bus Tour

Commemorate Memorial Day with a tour of historic 18th & 19th century cemeteries in Richmond’s East End, including St. John’s Church, the African Burial Ground, Shockoe, Hebrew, Oakwood, and Woodland Cemeteries and several others. Sukha Yoga Classes

Let your Saturday go to waste – join in T.T.Y. monthly neighborhood effort to pick up litter! Meet at 1023 Oakwood Avenue. Trash bags , pick up rods, and gloves will be provided.
