Robberies and arrests on Franklin, Rogers streets
The RTD is reporting quick arrests in 2 area robberies last night:
The arrest followed an 11:08 p.m. robbery in the 2000 block of East Franklin St., where the victim said he was outside his apartment complex when he was confronted by two black men with handguns who took money and fled on foot. Officers in the area saw two males matching the description of the suspects and chased them before arresting one, Greene said.

At 3:45 a.m. today, a woman was walking in the 1700 block of Rodgers Street when a burgundy vehicle pulled up beside her and a black male got out, brandished a gun and took the victim’s jewelry, wallet and shoes, Greene said. Officers in the area found the burgundy vehicle within minutes and took two males into custody, Greene said.
Good work RPD!!!!
Score two for the good guys! Let’s hope the dirtbags they caught were the same ones driving a lot of the BS around here lately. Let’s also hope they can beat a name for the other guy out of the one they caught on Franklin.
Now I see why the cops always hang out in the Farm Fresh parking deck all night…
Maybe they should leave the Farm Fresh parking lot and go park on the streets.
@2 and 3, why park at all, why not drive the streets?! But overall I do think this was good. My hope is that they solve the spate of residential break ins we seem to have had lately.
Alex, if they are in the Farm Fresh parking deck at dawn then they can see the methadone clinic when it opens early.
