Christmas tree and electronics recycling

On Saturday, January 11, 2014, the City’s Department of Public Works is sponsoring the fourth annual “Bring One for the Chipper” Christmas tree recycling program. In addition to Christmas trees, the event will include electronics recycling, document shredding and donations of clothing and small household items to Goodwill Industries. City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

After taking a careful look at the photo of Richmond’s city council, I’m a bit confused about Mayor Jones’ statement that the majority of the council “does not look like us.” The majority is female and why he thinks they should look like “us” or why he should look like them is puzzling.
