Our East End Fellowship offices and Blue Sky Fund office got a couple too. It was easy to do- just put in a request to the city and they come and do all the installation.
The SunTrust Bank just got their bike hitch too!
Contact Jake Helmbolt, City of Richmond Pedestrian and Bike Trails Coordinator at jakob.helmboldt@richmondgov.com if you know of places in the East End that could use a bike hitch.
Jake already has a long list of locations and is in the process of having LOTS of bike racks and bike hitches installed this summer. Don’t be surprised if your location is already on his list.
FYI, it takes a bit longer to install hitches in the brick sidewalks. Concrete sidewalks are a faster installation.
Thanks for the contact info! Requesting bike racks for the Blue Wheeler and Urban Farmhouse.
Requesting a bike rack for Shorty’s drug-spotting hangout in front of the abandoned house on 25th!
