Bottom to Tap 3 mile running race set for October
07/25/2014 6:45 AM by John M
Registration is now open for the Bottom to Tap 3 mile running race set for Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM:
How far is it from Bottom to Tap? Only three miles but you’ll be thirsty when you get here! This casual run starts in Shockoe Bottom, goes through historic Church Hill and returns to the 17th Street Farmer’s Market for a great post-run celebration.
If our name didn’t clue you in, we take our celebrating more seriously than our running at Bottom to Tap. With craft beer, live music and great food from local restaurants at the finish line, you can see why we think that way. So come on out and enjoy some of the best views and craft brews in Richmond.
I hope that the organizers will be proactive this year and give out reminder flyers to the homes along the route. Last year I wasn’t allowed to drive ONE BLOCK to my off-street parking spot because the race was on–even though I was told that runners would not be on the street for another ten minutes and it would have taken me literally ten seconds to get off the road.
