What a great 510! Nice improvement.

Here is a photo of my brother finishing up our transom address, which he did in white gold. Ross was kind enough to lend us some difficult-to-find supplies, and I believe he and my brother have discussed teaming up once my brother moves here from SF in the fall. There are certainly plenty of transoms around here that could use their help!
Speaking of transoms that need help…does anybody have a good contact to do one in stained glass? There are plenty of very nice looking ones in the area and I’d like to replace mine.
I’d like to redo mine with stained glass, also. I hope there is someone in the area.
Not the same font but is in the same theme and definitely an improvement. You can also but peel and stick lettering in outlined metallic.
You can check the historic recyclers to see if they have any stained glass. Our former neighbor across the street did one with the house number made in it and looked great. She did the design and leading herself. Unfortunately they took it with them when they moved.
Speaking of glass, the side panels of the front door has the original glass from 1812 in it. Full of stress marks and bubbles – so neat. It was saved because it was boarded over when the house went into disrepair. The rest had to be replaced. When the privies in our yard was dug up there was a lot of the old window panes in it and can see why. They were as thin as a dime and could easily break like an eggshell. Is there anyone that makes replacement hand made old world window panes with the flaws if we want to use it elsewhere?
I can find vendors online, and perhaps Jomoco on Staples Mill will do it too, but I was going to go to someone closer if available.
