Church Hill Neighbors: Walter Coleman
08/21/2014 2:45 PM by John M
Walter Coleman is the focus of the third installment of Church Hill Neighbors:
Walter Coleman grew up in Church Hill, in a home across the street from the old Beckstoffer’s Mill. He still lives in the neighborhood, in and can be seen zipping around on his mobile wheelchair. Say hi, and ask him to tell you about what life was like here in the 1950’s. You might even be able to get him to sing one of his original pop songs.

Thanks, John, for adding the recordings of “Baby Oh Baby” and “Baltimore”. Who knew we lived in the midst of such a talented song writer! And, thanks to Lane Pearson for getting Mr. Coleman to tell his story.
I love this!
This is awesome! I’d love to find a way of getting some of the old school musicians and songwriters in the area together with us whippersnappers. I think it would be a great learning experience and just a damn good time.
