Wildcats 5-0 with win over Varina

The Armstrong Wildcats move to 5-0 after a 46-24 win at the Varina Blue Devils:
The Wildcats, whose fans filled a good portion of the visitors’ stands, scored the game’s first five touchdowns. Waller and Anthony Freeman connected on a 52-yard scoring pass, then Nigel Chavis ripped off scoring runs of 44 and 51 yards. Despite being dropped for losses six times, Chavis finished with 101 yards on 14 carries.
A homegame this Friday with the Highland Springs Springers (5-0)(#8 in the state) should give a real measure of the Wildcats mettle.
