School Board meets Monday at MLK Middle School
02/21/2015 6:45 AM by John M
The School Board will hold their next meeting on Monday, February 23, 2015, in the auditorium Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School starting at 5:00 PM.
Supporters of Richmond Public Schools Superintendent Bedden are asking folks to show up at the meeting wearing blue. After 14 well-recieved months on the job in Richmond, word broke this week that Bedden has applied for the superintendent’s position in Boston and has called for a controversial restructuring of teachers at the beleaguered MLK Middle School.
Please sign this petition to encourage Dr. Bedden to Stay! We’d like to get to 1000 signature by Monday! Adding an encouraging personal comment would be even better!

Dr. Bedden,
You came to us like a breath of fresh air! We are so encouraged already with the changes that are being made. We need you to stay and help us finish what you started!

Thanks to all who came out.
In addition to the group speaking for Better with Bedden there was also a group of MLK parents students and teachers asking for more information about the restructuring.
Several community leaders spoke to Bedden encouraging him to stay
Overall the tone of the meeting was positive
