From Lt.Sayles via The Church Hill Neighborhood Crime Watch:

Around noon today Saturday Feb. 21st there were several gunshots exchanged between two black males in the 500 block of N 30th St behind Chimborazo Elementary School. There was an argument, neither suspect was hit but a vehicle was.

One suspect was a resident and identified. He was armed with a undetermined brand of rifle, the weapon was seized by the police and he has been charged with firearms related offenses.

The other suspect fled in what is possible a burgundy Dodge Durango with possible front end damage. He was armed with a handgun.

He is described a black male probably in his 20’s, around 5′ 10″ to 11″ tall, med build, wearing a bomber hat with flaps, a baseball type jacket 2-toned gray sleeves and dark body, possible patch on front. He was also wearing shiny, silvery glasses.

If you see this suspect do not approach him, he is armed, BUT do call 911 immediately and state that this is possibly a suspect in a shootout. Give precise location and direction he is headed.

Police are searching for this suspect at this time and need our eyes and ears. You can also call the crime watch at [(804)648-2710] if for any reason you do not wish to contact police and all information will be relayed directly to the police at the First Precinct.
