Special Council Meeting to address Stone Brewery agreement, development at old Armstrong set for Monday

City Council will hold a special meeting tomorrow, Monday, March 2 to consider both a crucial piece of the Stone Brewing deal and land transfers necessary to begin redevelopment at Creighton Court.

Ord. No. 2014-254 (Patron: Mr. Agelasto) – To amend Ord. No. 2014-237-210, adopted November 10, 2014, which authorized the Chief Administrative Officer, for and on behalf of the City of Richmond, to execute a Stone Brewery Cooperation Agreement between the City of Richmond and the Economic Development Authority of the City of Richmond for the purpose of facilitating the construction of Authority facilities that will house the operations of KoochenVagner’s Brewing Co., doing business as Stone Brewing Co., for the purpose of adding certain restrictions for the use of revenues derived from the Development and certain provisions relating to the City’s conveyance of 3101 Wharf Street to the Authority. (As Amended)

Ord. No. 2015-34 (Patron: Mayor Jones) – To direct the sale of surplus real estate located at 3101 Wharf Street to the Economic Development Authority of the City of Richmond for nominal consideration, upon certain terms and conditions.

Ord. No. 2015-46 (Patron: Mayor Jones) – To grant an option to the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority to acquire by donation from the City City- owned real estate located at 1501 North 31st Street and 1611 North 31st Street for the purpose of constructing and developing an affordable housing development financed in part with an allocation of low-income housing tax credits provided through the Virginia Housing Development Authority.
