03/28/2015 8:32 AM by John M
Held in conjunction with Enrichmond’s Earth Day Festival, the Earth Day 5K Race Without A Trace starts in Chimborazo Park, goes through parts of Church Hill into Libby Hill Park, and down the hill to the banks of the James River to the finish line on the Virginia Capital Trail and the Canal Walk.
Registration is $30 and includes an official Earth Day 5K Race Without A Trace t-shirt.

I am curious to know if the organizers of this race have contacted any neighborhood organizations for the areas impacted by this event. I chair the Chimborazo Park Group and have yet to hear from them.
It just seems like a wise thing to do to gain community support for an event.
@1 Chimbo, really good point. I’d like to know which streets will be closed and when.
I don’t think the streets close, similar to the HillTopper5k. I’m not an organizer, but when I ran this last year in Shockoe Bottom, it was literally “without a trace” in that the “course” was some chalk arrows and it was a very small (and very fun!) event. I believe Enrichmond is the organizer though as part of the larger Earth Day Festival.
